Emerson’s new design boosts Daniel SeniorSonic™ Ultrasonic gas flow meter performance

Houston, Texas.  (April 16, 2004.)  Emerson Process Management has announced a new design release that boosts performance of its its 4-path Daniel SeniorSonic^TM Ultrasonic Gas Flow Meter.  The Daniel meter is an industry leader in custody transfer and other applications requiring high accuracy. 

Already delivering superior low-to-high flow accuracy (±0.1% after flow calibration) and excellent long-term measurement accuracy, the new design will improve meter performance by providing:

·      Accurate meter performance of up to 100 feet per second

·      Over-range performance of up to 125 feet per second

·      Lower signal distortion, resulting in improved waveforms at higher velocities

·      Higher pipeline throughput without sacrificing measurement performance or having to purchase a larger diameter line size

·      Easier field maintenance with fewer transducer assembly parts

Daniel SeniorSonic meters feature easy-to-use Daniel Mark III™ Electronics that enable customers to add future functionality without replacing the electronics.  Also, Daniel Customer Ultrasonic Interface (CUI) 3.0 Software provides simple local and remote diagnostics and operations from a single console view
