Daniel® SeniorSonicTM Gas Flow Meter with Mark III Electronics

The Daniel® SeniorSonic™ Gas Ultrasonic Flow Meter is designed for custody transfer and other applications requiring high accuracy.  The SeniorSonic Meter has outstanding low-to-high accuracy of ± 0.1 % with greater than 100:1 rangeability after flow calibration and excellent long-term measurement performance.

Mark III™ Electronics, a completely re-engineered electronics platform, is now available with the SeniorSonic Flow Meter.  With Mark III Electronics, the Daniel SeniorSonic meter processes data much faster and is easier to use.  Customers can add functionality by replacing the electronics.  Added functionality for the Mark III Electronics is now available in the form of the Series 100 Plus board.  This new option board allows the meter to communicate directly with a digital plant architecture via the HART protocol, such as PlantWeb® AMS Suite, or a 375 Field Communicator. It also permits the meter to provide integral flow computer capabilities, including the ability to calculate real time corrected volume, energy, mass flow rate, and AGA10 speed of sound.  This data is stored in the extensive non-volatile audit logs.

Daniel Ultrasonic meters are further complimented with innovative and easy to use Daniel CUI 4.21 Software.  A recent upgrade to the successful Daniel CUI Software includes many new features that Daniel customers have requested.

Key features/benefits

  • Four-path chordal design allows accuracy, stability, redundancy, and operational cost savings
  • Excellent long-term performance reduces
    maintenance costs
  • High rangeability of >100:1 means fewer meter runs, smaller line sizes, and lower capital costs
  • CUI (Customer Ultrasonic Interface) Software offers easy-to-use and learn Windows® based meter interface software, reduces time to commission a new meter, and simplifies routine maintenance
  • Mark III Electronics provides faster sampling and output, expandable electronics platform, ease of use, and an optional archive data log* which enables the reading of audit, alarm, system, hourly, and daily
    log information

  • Optional Series 100 Plus Board provides a direct input of pressure, temperature, and gas composition into the meter which allows the meter to act as a redundant flow computer; it calculates corrected volume rates, mass rates, energy rates, and AGA10 speed of sound*.
  • Machined, cast body construction is virtually insensitive to measurement uncertainty caused by changes in pressure

  • Extractable transducers for ease of inspection
